We welcome all who visit and all who want to get connected here at St Nicholas.
We have a service every Sunday at 10:30 am characterised by sung worship, prayers, notices, offerings and the weekly sermon – a talk based on the Bible.
There is opportunity to receive prayer for yourself or someone else after every service.
Our usual service pattern is: 1st Sunday of the month, Holy Communion, second Sunday, Morning Praise with Kidz Klub for ages up to 11 in the coffee lounge (see Children page), third Sunday of the month, Morning Praise, fourth Sunday of the month, Morning Praise. Where there is a fifth Sunday in the month, we join with the rest of our benefice for a joint services at one of the benefice churches. We will advertise the location for these services on our Upcoming events page and on Facebook.
We previously held Sunday Central services on the fourth Sunday of every month. We are pausing this during the interregnum (the period in which we are without a Vicar) but some of our lay leaders will still lead Sunday Central Services on some months in place of Morning Praise. These services will be advertised on Facebook. Sunday Central is a relaxed service suitable for all ages lead by different members of the congregation which includes sung worship, prayers, a Bible talk and a time for activities and reflection.
While we look for a new vicar, all our services, apart from Holy Communion, will usually be lead by our team of lay worship leaders, church wardens and lay missioners. Our sung worship is lead by our wonderful worship leaders and band.
Please join us after worship for fellowship, refreshments and to socialise with one another. We love to build family relationships here.
